1. One day Tom was allowed to go to the beach by himself without his brother, his mother or his father.

2. He lay down in his chair being shaded by his nice umbrella and having a really nice time.

3. Then he looked at the shops; he saw a shop selling painted shells. One of the shells was red which stuck to rocks, the next one was purple and you could hear the sea through it and the last shell was green and was actually not an ordinary shell. It was a crabs shell.

4. Then he looked at the fish shop. There were loads of fish to look at; small goldfish, big goldfish and all the sorts of fish you could think of. He bought a little goldfish for himself called Timmy.

5. Then he looked at the ice-cream shop and when he got there, before he could buy an ice-cream, he fell in love with the ice-cream seller at once. Her name was Muffy. he bought one of the sweetest and cheapest ice-creams of them all and it only cost him £12. Then he looked down because he was shy. (This started off as "Then his neck shrinked into his body" but we changed it together to explain it better!).

6. The he had to go home but Muffy had told him that she wouldn’t be there next time and he looked really upset. He would never see Muffy again.

7. Now the thing was that he still had a horrid mother, a horrible father and a horrible brother. But he couldn’t stay with them another minute so he ran back to the beach, got back to the ice-cream seller, told her everything that happened. She thought for a minute, thinking he would say something to her. But he didn’t.

8. Muffy had an idea, that they were both old enough to marry each other. So they did. The End.
